11th Chapter: Rewards and penalties

Article (71)
Rewards:

Outstanding students are awarded:

  1. Financial rewards provided for in applicable laws.
  2. The best scientific and training grants in a manner that does not contradict their conditions.
  3. Outstanding students are given a letter of thanks and appreciation from the college administration.

Article (72)
Violations:

  1. To steal, destroy, or cause damage to devices, tools or facilities.
  2. Possession, use or display of weapons or other prohibited materials or endanger the safety of others.
  3. Unsafe practice or professional negligence that puts the patient at risk in training institutions.
  4. Violation of the Constitution of the ethics of medical professions and medical specialties.
  5. Violation of standards of professional behavior and come up with acts incompatible with public morals and ethics.
  6. Breach of the examination system or commit or attempt to cheat.
  7. Abuse of any of the teachers or colleagues or employees in the college and training institutions.
  8. Repeated failure to adhere to specific instructions for theoretical and practical lessons.
  9. Absence or withdrawal from classes without providing justification or clarification to officials.
  10. Holding cultural or social activities at the college, distributing leaflets or issuing wall and other newspapers before obtaining approval.
  11. Participate in any unauthorized student organization within the college.
  12. Make contact with the press and the media without prior permission and invite official or non-official persons from other institutions to the college or meet with them.
  13. Publishing on social networking sites (Facebook) or any information website, or displaying pictures or data or marks for students, and making public statements on behalf of the college.

 
Article (73)
Types of penalties:

Penalties are the last necessary means to draw the attention of the student to the damages that arise from a certain behavior. Violations mentioned in the previous article are subject to the following penalties:

  1. Disciplinary Sanctions:
  1. Penalty Alert.
  2. Alarm.
  3. Penalty for denial of financial benefits which students benefit free of charge for a full semester.
  4. Penalty of temporary dismissal from the college for periods ranging from one week to two weeks, and this absence is considered unjustified.
  5. Penalty for deprivation of progress for one examination period.
  6. Penalty of temporary dismissal, which must not exceed one academic year.
  7. The penalty of final dismissal from college.
  1. Other penalties: They shall be in accordance with the applicable regulations according to the nature of the violation.

Article (74)
The imposition of professional penalties:

  1. The offending student is referred to the disciplinary committee by an official letter from the Dean or his representative, accompanied by an appropriate report explaining the violation.
  2. The Dean or his authorized representative may impose sanctions (1 and 2).
  3. The disciplinary committee may impose sanctions (1, 2, 3 and 4) and may impose penalties (5 and 6) after obtaining the approval of the College Board of Directors. The MEC may impose the penalty specified in paragraph (7) according to a proposal submitted by the committee and approved by the MEC.
  4. The Dean shall issue the administrative order with penalties, except for the penalty in item (7) issued by the MEC's administration.
  5. It is not necessary to serialize the penalties but rather to look at the type of violation, its repetition and its background in the student and its impact on the place in which it occurred or on it and the effect of punishment in deterring the student.
  6. No one of the penalties specified in Article (37) of this Law shall be penalized more than twice during the academic year, and the maximum penalty shall be punished if the violation is repeated.

Article (75)
The penalty of destruction or disabling or loss of tools and devices:

  1. The student is responsible for causing any malfunction, damage or loss of furniture, tools, machines or supplies in the college property or training facilities.
  2. The student shall bear at his expense the repair or insurance of suitable alternatives for the furniture, equipment or facilities that caused the damage, in addition to the appropriate administrative punishment. The student is not promoted to a higher grade at the end of the year (considered to be on hold from study), and the college will not grant him any document if he fails to implement this obligation.

Article (76)
Objection to Disciplinary Punishments:

The student has the right to appeal to the Board of Directors in the penalty (7) through a grievance letter submitted to the College Administration and the administration of MEC. The student shall also have the right to object to the Committee's decision to the Board of Directors of the College in respect of the sentences (5, 6) within 15 days from the date of announcing the decision of the MEC in the first case and the committee's decision in the second case.
