Article (60)
Curriculum
- The overall curriculum for the program of medical colleges and specialized programs shall be issued on the proposal of the College Board of Directors and approved by the General Supervisor of the Medical Education Council.
- The Board of Directors of the College shall study the process of updating the courses and translation processes of the foreign references and follow-up of each development in the medical specialties and other supporting sciences.
- The process of determining the curriculum is accompanied by a description of each of them, their previous requirements, educational objectives, content, methods of teaching, and the system of evaluation of the students, and evaluate their effectiveness and review them periodically.
- No change or modification shall be made in the approved scientific programs, approved curricula or study plan, except with the approval of the College Council and the MEC.
- The student is not allowed during the semester to choose the subjects according to his own point of view, nor may he transfer, delay or study this course in advance before the date specified in the study program. But must adhere to the study plan approved by the College and the MEC.
- A student who is not allowed to take the exam in a course because he / she has exceeded the permitted absences, which exceeds the academic year or semester of his / her course, may not require the Administration of the College to allocate a time of the semester program or his / her academic year to attend the course.
Article (61)
Student Assessment:
- The main objective of student assessment is to evaluate learning. Evaluation is part of the learning process and students should be encouraged to self-assess throughout the program to develop students' self-assessment abilities and to be an active participant in education.
- Evaluation is conducted continuously throughout the semester in different ways, as described in each course description. While the practical side of the hospital takes a form and a wide range of evaluation.
- In medical colleges, the academic system is adopted in the evaluation process of students, especially in theoretical subjects, where the markings are not included in the final mark of the course. Examinations can be held to practice the exam pattern and motivate the student to study only.
- Each course is evaluated for 100 grades.
- In the practical courses, 50% of the total grade of the course is allocated to the practical section and distributed in several parts to the laboratory, including in the practical field training, while 50% of the total class is allocated to the theoretical part.
- The quarterly average is the arithmetic average of a student's score in a semester and is calculated as follows: The total number of marks divided by their number. The quarterly rate is rounded to two decimal places.
- The student's mark shall be calculated according to the literal assessment system, where each of the marks shall have a letter indicating them.
- The final grade of the student shall be calculated at the end of the academic year based on the annual average of the course marks. The average marks for each academic year shall be calculated and the corresponding points shall be given according to the following scale:

- Students of medical colleges after the completion of all courses successfully undergo a comprehensive examination (colloquium) for obtaining the certificate. This exam is organized according to instructions issued by the college administration. The student is not entitled to receive his certificate as a graduate student unless he is subject to this comprehensive examination.
Article (62)
HomeWorks and practical evaluation forms:
- The Homework and evaluation forms must be handed as agreed to the course instructor on time.
- When the handing over the Homework is delayed (without any exceptional circumstances), the 2% of the mark shall be deducted for each day of delay from the basic date for the submission of the job. If the student delays handing over the new date agreed upon with the teacher of the course, his mark will be zero.
- In exceptional cases and circumstances the delay in handing over the job is accepted without penalty. The student is then responsible for handing over the job at the agreed time and date. Otherwise, the student's job will not be accepted after that and a zero mark will be given to him. There are some cases that fall under exceptional circumstances:
- Health problem: The delay in handing over the job is not accepted except by presenting a medical report authenticated by a doctor accredited by the College.
- The case of the death of a family member (a member of family or relatives or spouse).
- Serious illness for a family member (blood connection only) and accepted only if a certified medical report is presented, and the student may be asked to bring further evidence of the incident.
Article (63)
Success, Repetition and Transition:
- The success score of the courses in medical colleges is 60% in specialized courses and 50% in non-specialized courses. The nature of the courses and the mark of success are determined in the detailed curriculum.
- The student is successful at the end of the year if he passes all the courses successfully and achieves the minimum score of success at least in each of them.
- Students may move to the following school year if they have four courses at most.
- If the student is absent from an exam or test, he is given a zero mark and is not allowed to compensate him.
- The student is considered to have failed in a course in one of the following cases:
- The student is considered to have failed in his / her year: if he / she failed at the end of the academic year more than four courses after the third semester (summer) exams. Or after the supplementary course if they exist.
- If the student does not achieve the required time course.
- If the student does not succeed in the course of the course (for courses that have a practical work, whether in the laboratory or clinical).
- If the student is absent from the final exam.
- The student is considered to have failed in his year: If he / she failed at the end of the academic year more than four courses after the third semester (summer), although there is a supplementary course will be after it.
- The student is not considered successful unless he gets 50% of the total grades, provided that he / she has attended the final theoretical exam. In the case that the student is absent from the final theoretical examination, then he / she will be considered as having failed in the course.
- The dates of the practical and theoretical examinations for all the first, second and summer classes are determined from the beginning of the academic year through the Academic Annual Calendar.
- The exam questions shall be in accordance with the form provided by the Office of Study and Examinations in the College, so that the following data shall be present: (the time, date, name of the exam subject, the logo of the college and the name of the professor, in addition to "The End of Question" phrase at the bottom of the paper. The questions must be typed and not written by hand, as well as other data prepared by the Office of Study and Examinations in the College, and a copy of the sample answer should be given to the Examination Committee.
- The dates of the practical exams, in respect of the joint studied subjects shall be determined through coordination with the other colleges and shall be determined by the administration. Students are offered a theoretical exam schedule and approved after being studied by the administration.
- The percentage of questions asked in the theoretical exams at 25% of the whole mark of the theoretical section in each course, so that the questions will be open (explain - talk - speak - ...).
- Exam questions shall be prepared in such a way as to ensure a fair division of the subject.
- 13- If the student's absence exceeds 25% without any excuse in any course, he will be given a score of zero in that course. The student must re-study that course at the first opportunity to include the course.
- Applications for objection shall be accepted after the issuance of the exam results on the billboards and shall be limited to a period of time not exceeding 5 days maximum.
- Only a student who did not succeed in some of his subjects has the right to apply for a review of no more than three courses. The request for review shall be subject to the controls and procedures in force at the College.
- The review committees shall be formed by a decision of the Dean of the College and upon the proposal of the Scientific Section (or the Chairman of the MEC in the case of a central committee) consisting of three faculty members. The review shall be conducted. If the student's claim is valid, the result is amended and the faculty member is required to submit a written report explaining the reasons for the change in the result and submitting his report to the College Board of Directors.
- The College Administration shall be notified of the correction made in the student's mark through an official letter issued by the committee reviewing the paper. And shall be registered in the Central Office (the Bureau of the MEC) and inform the student.
Article (64)
The case of the student who failed in one or more courses:
- Students are required to be examined for a course in which they have failed. While a student who has failed in his / her year will be required to complete the training course in full according to a program developed by the administration.
- The student shall retain the degree of the course in which he / she has failed, and when the student's practical mark is very low and less than 25% of the degree of his / her work, shall not be allowed to return it except by a decision of the Board of Directors.
- The student has the right to return his degree if he submits a request to the administration at least two weeks prior to the examination. The student will only return his / her practical examination and not include anything else.
Article (65)
Exam's Assistance:
- The parts of the mark are increased to one when calculating the grade of work and the student's exam.
- A maximum of five (5) marks is added in one course in the third or supplementary semesters if this changes the student's status from one unsuccessful to another successful student. This assistance is granted if they lead to graduation.
- A maximum of eight (8) marks shall be added in one or two courses in any examination course if they result in the student failing to exhaust the repetition opportunities in any academic year, or if this assistance leads to his / her graduation, and he / she is not entitled to benefit from it more than once during the course Period of study.
- The above test assistance is not calculated when calculating the student's rate per year.
Article (66)
The student shall be dismissed from the college in the following cases:
- If the student does not meet the professional and ethical standards of the college and the standards of safe practice documented by a report.
- If the student commits an examination violation as stipulated in the provisions of these regulations.
- If the student fails for two consecutive years.
- If the duration of the study of the student in the college is more than two academic years in addition to the planned years of study.
- The period of interruption shall not be calculated, such as temporary suspension of the duration of the study.
