7th Chapter: Study system - Duration – Certificate

Article (52)
Duration of study and type of certificate:

  1. The duration of the study to obtain a bachelor's degree in medical specialization is three years at three levels, where each level consists of three semesters. The first and second semesters consist of 17 weeks, of which 13 weeks are actual and 4 weeks are semester examinations, while the third semester consists of 6 actual weeks of study hours and two weeks of examinations.
  2. The Directorate of the MEC (Medical Education Council) shall issue the annual calendar, in which the start of the school year, the school days, the half-yearly and summer holidays, the examination dates and the summer semester shall be determined.
  3. A certificate is to be considered:
  • Of honor is granted if the student's rate ranges between 95-100%,
  • The certificate is a grade of excellence if the student average is less than 95%,
  • And is very good if the student rate is less than 85%,
  • And be a good estimate if the student rate is less than 75%,
  • With an acceptable grade if the student rate is less than 65%.
  1. The rate and estimate shall be mentioned in the body of the certificate.
  2. Students of medical colleges may not study in one year more than two years of study, nor must exceed the total period of study at the College for seven years of study, otherwise he will be dismissed from the College and will be considered to have exhausted his chance.
  3. The colleges depend on the system of total separation between males and females.

Article (53)
Granting certificate:

The student who passed the graduation examination is awarded:

  1. A list of marks, including the courses studied, the number of hours and degrees obtained by the Dean's signature, and signed by the General Supervisor of the Medical Education Council.
  2. Graduation document to be approved by the Dean of the College and the General Supervisor of the Medical Education Council.

Article (54)
Oaths:

Graduates must take the following oath after graduating and before starting their work.
«I swear by Almighty God ....
 To care for patients using my skills and knowledge without discrimination based on race, color, creed, social or political status……
And to spare no effort in preserving lives, alleviating suffering and promoting health…..
And to always respect the dignity and religious beliefs of the patients I care for …..
And to preserve the secrecy of the patient's personal information, which I have seen, so as not to contradict the laws….
And to avoid any action that may threaten life or health…
And to strive to maintain the development of my knowledge and professional skills at the highest possible level.
And to cooperate with the members of the health team and offer them sincere support ....
And to do what I can to preserve the honor of the Code of Ethics for Health Professions ...
