Article (46)
Conditions of Admission and Declaration:
- The admission of the student to the Medical Colleges in the MEC is required:
- He/ she must be a high school student or equivalent.
- Syrian nationality.
- He/ she must meet the conditions of health fitness required for appointment according to a specific form.
- Undertaking the commitment and continuity of attendance at the college and filling out a form for them.
- To meet the additional conditions specified in the Declaration of Acceptance.
- To succeed in the interview conducted by the committee of differentiation and acceptance of students.
- The admission declaration for the attendance program shall be issued after the admission interview and study of the students' application forms submitted by the Selection and Acceptance Committee.
Article (47)
Admission Rules:
- The number of students who can be admitted in the first year (new entrants) shall be determined each year in the college and in the specialization classes by a decision of the Board of Directors.
- Applications for membership shall be submitted to the specified College and the Selection Committee may extend the period of acceptance of the applications, as the case may be.
- The selection process shall take place and the names of the admissions shall be announced after the first two weeks of the end of the days of the interview.
- Acceptance shall be within the limits of the given number. The rest of the applicants will be accepted in sequence if one of the accepted students is vacated as a result of his objection or leaving the college within a period not exceeding 15 days from the date of commencement of the course.
- Students are given a student card after admission and a one-month follow-up. The card is renewed every academic year.
Article (48)
Completion of Registration Procedures: The accepted student must:
- To complete the registration procedures in the college within one week of the announcement of the results, otherwise he/she shall be considered as having lost his right to accept and the substitute shall be called assets from the reserve list.
- To begin on the first day of study. Any person who fails to enroll for more than a week without informing the administration is considered to be dissatisfied with the study and will be replaced by the substitute from the reserve list according to the sequence of marks.
Article (49)
Required documents for registration:
- A certified copy of the personal identity or a copy of the civil registration issued by the civil registrar or a copy of the Turkish identity (Kimlik) or any proof of the student's identity.
- The original secondary certificate or a copy of it or its equivalent from any recognized educational source. Secondary certificates are accepted according to the following conditions:
- Secondary Certificate / Scientific Branch/.
- Non-Syrian secondary diplomas are acceptable.
- There is no requirement that the certificates be current for the last year. / 5 years recent / are acceptable.
- A medical certificate from the medical committee confirming the safety of the student's senses and free of diseases and disabilities that impede his work as a practitioner of the medical profession.
- Four personal photographs measuring 4 x 6 cm.
- Registration form filled out by the student containing student data, address and communication information.
- A written undertaking in accordance with the prescribed form signed by the student in which he undertakes to abide by the rules and decisions of the college.
Article (50)
Transfer of students between faculties of the MEC:
- A student may transfer between similar faculties in the field of specialization (if they are introduced in the other areas), after the approval of the Dean of the transferred college. The student's file shall be transferred in full and a copy of his record to the college to which he was transferred.
- Students who wish to transfer must also have the conditions required in the admission of students. In addition, students should not be dismissed from a college for academic or disciplinary reasons.
- The student must submit a request to complete the study in the college accompanied by the required documents to the college at least two weeks before the beginning of the study. These papers are as follows:
Original success document in secondary school certificate or certified copy.
- A list of the grades of the subjects with their scientific description and the number of hours approved by the administration of the college in which the student was studying.
- Documents must include the courses studied by the student, as well as vocabulary, and be recognized and certified by the issuer, and be approved by the competent authority.
- The student should not have left the transferred college for more than two academic years and a maximum of five years in difficult circumstances.
- The student should be full time to study in college (in a systematic manner), and the student at all stages of the study to follow the lectures theoretical and practical.
- If the transfer is made during the school year, the student must have completed the semester in the transferred college and must attend the beginning of the next semester in the transferred college on time.
- In case of disagreement with the courses, a specialized committee will be assigned to study the subject and make the appropriate decision.
Article (51)
Student's Disconnection from Study:
- If the student is dismissed from the college, he may be accepted again in the year in which he was enrolled, so that he must submit a request to the college administration to justify the reasons for his absence from studying at the college.
- If a student stops studying for two years, he or she will be treated as a new student and will be subject to admission requirements such as the new student.
- The student has the right to postpone his / her studies for a full semester (except for the third semester) or for one year of study according to the student's wishes.
- Students who wish to discontinue their studies for special reasons must apply for student affairs before the beginning of the semester or academic year. No student may delay a month after the start of the actual study, otherwise it will be considered as the student fails in the courses belonging to the semester.
- Students who wish to stop their registration at the college where the student studies are required to submit the reasons or the legitimate excuses for postponement.
- The year of suspension of registration of the student from the college is not considered as one of the years of failure in the college. Also, the year of suspension of registration is not calculated from the total number of years of study in the college.
